We are so sad to announce the passing of our greatly respected Chairman, Bill Gore.
Bill was a uniquely accomplished man of many talents. Qualified as both chemical engineer and accountant, he was a successful entrepreneur and shrewd investor in business. Over the course of a long and distinguished career, Bill held senior roles as Chairman or Chief Executive in a diverse range of companies spanning sectors from manufacturing to technology and property.
Since its inception in 2009, Bill has been instrumental in Latcham’s success, helping to propel the business from a £6M to a £20M turnover. Throughout the many challenges and victories encountered along the way, Bill remained steadfast and visionary, forever sporting a remarkable sense of humour and boundless vitality.
Bill’s monthly visits to Latcham were marked by warm interactions and an abundance of captivating anecdotes about the other side of his life filled with passion for sports, aviation, sailing, history, politics, music, philosophy, and books.
Above all, Bill was a devoted family man and cherished friend whose memory will be celebrated by all who knew him.
Bill has left an indelible mark on our lives and while we will miss him enormously, his legacy is one of lasting inspiration.
