Latcham acquires a new e-van!

Written by latcham | Apr 14, 2020 1:36:10 PM

The Latcham e-van is part of our larger drive for sustainability. Times are challenging right now, but we continue to go from strength to strength: investing in new technology and continuing to look for the future.

Our company van, used for making deliveries to the local area, is being replaced with Nissan e-NV200 electric van. Diesel vehicles are being banned in the Bristol city area by the council to tackle pollution, so we thought we would go one better and go fully electric with a new electric van. On top of this, we will be installing five 22kw charging points for electric vehicles and are looking at new e-bike charging points and storage facilities to match our E-bike cycle to work scheme.

Our new 100% electric Latcham e-van has a range of 187 miles and can be charged in 40-60 minutes. We’ll be using it for local deliveries (observing strict social distancing and hygiene rules, of course!)

We’re excited to be stepping up our sustainability strategy. Look forward to more announcements on this topic as the year continues!
